The Marriage
of Figaro
|
 |
 |
Soprano Judith Plint at
her appealing best!
Some of Mozart's "Marriage of Figaro", sung
partly in English, followed effortlessly on with that continuing story. |
|
Cleverly making the most of our Hall's rather limited
facilities, the action was played out in front of the kitchen, committee
room and main doors, with the audience - including many very well-behaved
children - sitting at candle-lit tables round the rest of the room,
effectively all at approximately the same distance from the singers. |

Don Giovanni
|
|
Some significant arias from "Don Giovanni",
again by Mozart, presented us with perhaps the most difficult story to
follow, but who bothered with the story when listening to the powerful
voice of baritone Mark Jacques. |
 |
 |
The
keyboard, played with virtuosity by Chris Squires, added the
crowning touch to a wonderful evening. |
