January has had fewer hours of strong generating
winds and more calm periods, hence the 60kW turbine did not generate for 69 available
hours, and the 100 kW turbine did not generate for 70 available hours. The 60kW turbine
was out of service for 13 hours and the 10OkW turbine for 19 hours in the month. Despite
decreased consumption less energy, 11,891 kWh [17,998 kWhI was lost to dump. The increase
in diesel generator usage is mainly attributable to the addition of an extra 76 hours to
the guarantee period for the month.
