blown away. The boat has not gone all week. On Thursday the wind was a severe gale 9 up to
a storm force 10. The average wind speed was 50 miles an hour. The maximum gust was 97

Shetland because mum and Patrick had some things to do. We put the van on the St. Clair at
4-45 p.m but they let us on and we went to our cabin. Then we went to the bar for a drink.
At 6-00 p.m. the boat set off for Aberdeen. We played about then we went to bed. In the
morning at 7 we had breakfast and drove to Kirriemuir. Granny and Grandad showed us around
their new house. Five days later we went to Stirling because my great grand aunt Isabel
had died and we went to-sort out her stuff. After a week we drove up to Aberdeen to get
the boat. We put the van on and went to the cabin. Then we went to the bar and played
about. In the morning we got in the van and we went to Grutness but the boat could not go.
Neil offered to let us stay the night. We had some tea then we watched TV and went to bed.
The next day Neil took us to Sumburgh and the people at Sumburgh said that the plane was
going. We got on the plane and 23 minutes later we were in Fair Isle and we went home to
