Music and Dance . . .

. . . . . is always high on the agenda on Fair Isle,
with enthusiastic participation right across the age spectrum.

While most of the music is 'home grown' visiting musicians, singers and artistes are guaranteed a very warm welcome.

You can read about the new work of Fair Isle singer and composer
LISE SINCLAIR
at the Ideas Factory

and at
the Highlands and Islands Arts Journal

'given days'

Fair Isle's week of Musical Revelry
"Absolutely marvellous" ; "A great deal more important than all the premieres at the Proms in London because it has come from the people, . . . . because it's of the sea, of the land"

Read all about it!

Premiered on Fair Isle

In this respect the Shetland Arts Trust must be warmly thanked for their help in getting a variety of artistes to the isle - for example the very successful visit of the Opera on a Shoestring from Glasgow with
A bite at the Opera
as well as the exciting Dance Workshop with the Scottish Youth Dance.
