  The Observatory Lodge offers warm, comfortable accommodation in single, twin and family rooms. Good home cooking on a full board basis, licenced bar, gift shop and a friendly atmosphere. FREE Ranger Service offering FREE guided walks, slideshows and general tourist information. Fortnightly live music events in the summer months.  In all, an excellent place to stay for the birder and non-birder alike.

 For day-trippers and people from yachts, we offer tea and coffee facilities, meals (must be booked in advance and subject to space), shower facilities and Ranger Service activities.

  Historic charm warms the old hall, originally built for the laird of the island circa 1700. A gathering place that has shown hospitality to many travellers, notably Sir Walter Scott who stayed here in 1814 interested in the Islands history and the Spanish Armada shipwreck, El Gran Griffin.
