Fair Isle Area
Showers, some wintry, dying out today as strong to gale force NW’ly winds slowly ease. Mainly dry at first tonight with light winds and a patchy frost. S’ly winds then strengthening with rain overnight. Orkney turning drier later as strong winds veer SW to W’ly.
Rain at first across Shetland, otherwise Wednesday bright and showery with fresh or strong SW to W’ly winds. Cooler on
Thursday with showers turning wintry across the hills. Strong SW to W’ly winds. Colder on Friday with showers increasingly wintry and strong W to NW’ly winds,. Sunny spells and wintry showers for Saturday and Sunday. Strong NW’ly winds turning N’ly and easing later.
Monday perhaps drier and brighter with lighter winds. Christmas Eve possibly mild with rain and strong SW’ly winds, but cooler and brighter by Christmas Day with lighter winds and wintry showers.

Mainly rough or very rough. Highest in the west.
