Fair Isle Area
Bright across Orkney today with some showers, the odd one perhaps heavy with hail. Moderate or light S to SW’ly winds. Cloudier across Shetland with some occasionally heavy showers which will be wintry at times. A fresh SE’ly wind slowly easing. Mainly dry tonight with some clear spells. Mostly light winds, though with a freshening E’ly breeze picking up across Orkney later.
Shetland will be mainly dry and bright on Wednesday. After a dry, bright start some rain for the south of Orkney later. Strengthening E’ly winds backing NE to N’ly.
Feeling cold on Thursday with fresh to strong N’ly winds, scattered showers and sunny or clear spells. The showers turning wintry overnight. Friday becoming drier and brighter as N’ly winds fall light with sunny or clear periods and just an occasional mainly light wintry shower.
Sunny spells, isolated showers and light N’ly winds on Saturday. A fine day on Sunday with sunny periods and moderate winds. Clear spells overnight bringing the risk of a grass frost. The first part of the following week possibly continuing cool and mainly dry with mostly light or moderate NW to N’ly winds and risk of overnight frosts.
