Fair Isle Area
Apart from a few light showers at first this morning will be mainly dry and bright. However, cloud will soon thicken with rain reaching Orkney this afternoon, extending across Shetland by evening. Mostly light S’ly winds at first freshening SE’ly later. Persistent rain giving way to scattered showers overnight with winds turning N’ly and becoming strong for a time.
Thursday mainly dry and bright but turning colder with fresh N to NE’ly winds slowly easing.
Mainly dry and bright on Friday but feeling much colder with scattered wintry showers and a fresh to strong N’ly wind. Cold and bright on Saturday with a strong N’ly wind and some occasionally heavy showers of sleet or snow. Sunday becoming mostly dry and feeling less cold as fresh to strong N’ly winds begin to ease and later back NW’ly.
Monday probably also mainly dry and a little milder with moderate NW’ly winds backing W to SW. Tuesday perhaps unsettled with rain or showers and fresh to strong W’ly winds. Midweek perhaps colder again with wintry showers as strong winds veer NW’ly.
